The KeyCore CV Tool is the tool KeyCore uses to keep track of the CVs of KeyCore consultants.
Managing consultant CVs in an unstructured data format like Word is a messy process because:
The Word templates used in the CVs quickly diverge from each other.
It is hard to search sensibly in just Word documents.
Different customers and projects may require a consultant's CV formatted in different ways, as well as emphasizing different skills and experience.
The CV Tool can alleviate these problems by keeping consultant CVs in a semantic structured data. This data can then be exported in different editions, meaning e.g. using different Word templates, or containing different sets of data.
The CVs are used for the following purposes:
KeyCore salespeople search for consultants with certains skills - to present to customers
KeyCore consultants search for colleagues that know something about a given technology - if the consultant needs to ask some questions about that technology.
